I celebrated my birthday here on Saturday and had a fantastic experience. We were seated promptly and chose the bottomless brunch. The appetizers arrived after a short wait; although I forgot to take photos, the steak and potatoes—without cheese—were excellent. I enjoyed my steak, which I ordered medium, though I had initially requested medium well; The rice and beans accompanying it were delicious. My friend didn’t enjoy her waffles and chicken, finding them dry and lacking flavor, so she also ordered the steak. In the end, we all ended up with the same dish. I also tried the ceviche, which was very good. Our server was attentive, though service overall was a bit slow. Despite that, we had a great time.
We went to Blend on Taco Tuesday, which also happened to fall on Cinco de Mayo, so the place was packed and the energy was definitely high. One thing I'll say immediately: this is NOT the restaurant you come to if you're trying to have any conversation over dinner. The music is extremely loud, to the point where everyone has to yell across the table all night to speak. We came for the $40 bottomless tacos and drinks special. There were 6 taco options to choose from, and each order comes with two tacos. For my first round, I ordered the Tacos de Ropa Vieja and the Baja Shrimp Tacos. Second round was the Tacos de Bistec and Tacos de Carnitas. My favorite by far were the Tacos de Ropa Vieja. If I could do it over again, I honestly would've just kept ordering those. The guac and queso fresco toppings balanced everything perfectly, and the flavor was just better overall to me. The steak tacos were still good, but they were much simpler than I expected, basically steak with crispy potato matchsticks on top. One thing they did not do was skimp on the meat for the ropa vieja and bistec tacos were LOADED, by the fourth taco I was honestly done. I went in thinking "bottomless" meant I'd be trying way more tacos, but they were surprisingly filling. The downside was the service timing. There's a 90 minute limit starting from your first order, but because it was so busy, we barely saw our waitress. She was working many tables, that we barely saw her throughout the night. We probably would've ordered more rounds if we had gotten the chance. Overall, the ropa vieja tacos were good, the portions were generous, and the vibe was definitely fun if you're looking for a loud, party style dinner night with friends. Not necessarily my vibe because the crowd is pretty loud and rowdy, but it was nice to see others having a good time!
Cool spot with a really fun atmosphere right in Williamsburg. The place has a trendy Latin fusion vibe, good music, rooftop views, and a crowd that feels more like a night out than just dinner. We ordered all 3 first course items because apparently self control wasn’t part of the Mother’s Day special... The guac, arepas, and ceviche were all solid. Then came the pernil, salmon, and churrasco with garlic shrimp add-on — nobody left hungry. Service was moving so fast the food basically showed up before we finished ordering. Definitely a fun group dinner spot.
I had a wonderful experience at Blend in Williamsburg. The food was absolutely delicious — everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can really tell that a lot of care goes into the dishes. The atmosphere of the restaurant was also amazing. The space is vibrant, stylish, and perfect for enjoying a nice meal with friends or family. It has a great energy that makes the whole experience even better. What really made our visit special was the service. Our server, Isabella, was outstanding. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and professional throughout the entire meal. She made sure we had everything we needed and checked in on us at the perfect moments without ever being intrusive. Her warm attitude truly elevated our experience. Overall, everything from the food to the ambiance and service was excellent. I would definitely come back again and highly recommend this place. And if you have the chance, ask for Isabella — she will make your visit even better! ⭐
